Getting meter data into your system

The M-Center passes on the values of all connected meters via Modbus TCP and MQTT, the Professional II LoRa transmits via LoRaWAN. These guides show how the values arrive in common systems.

Which route fits?

  • Modbus TCP if you want fixed addresses: the M-Center’s register map is documented, every value has its address.
  • MQTT if several systems need the same values or the data should go to the cloud.
  • LoRaWAN if the meter transmits by radio: Professional II LoRa via The Things Network or ChirpStack.

All guides assume a configured M-Center. How to connect it, read in meters and activate MQTT is shown in the commissioning guide. Modbus TCP and MQTT are licences of the M-Center.
