The meter as a KNX device
The meter becomes part of the KNX installation and makes its measured values available there, without an additional gateway.

Interface · EMU Professional II · available from Q1 2027
The EMU Professional II is getting a KNX interface. It lets you bring the energy values of the three-phase power meter straight into a KNX installation. The version will be available from Q1 2027; technical data and ETS product data will follow with the release.

Available from Q1 2027
In many commercial and residential buildings, KNX is the bus on which lighting, blinds and heating already work together. The KNX version puts the power meter on the same bus.
The meter becomes part of the KNX installation and makes its measured values available there, without an additional gateway.
The KNX version is based on the EMU Professional II: three-phase measurement, as direct connection up to 100 A or as transformer connection.
As with all EMU meters, development, PCB assembly and final assembly take place in Switzerland.

Background
KNX is a manufacturer-independent standard for home and building automation (EN 50090, ISO/IEC 14543-3). Devices from different manufacturers share one bus and are configured with the ETS software. Measured values reach displays, visualisations or an energy management system through group addresses.
KNX fits when the building already has a KNX installation and the energy values are needed there. If you want to collect meters from different manufacturers centrally and pass the data on to control systems, billing or the cloud, use M-Bus or Modbus RTU together with the EMU M-Center.
